August 4, 2009 - Foundation Supported Entrepreneur, Maja Darowska, Receives Rising Star Award

Congratulations to Maja Zurawska Darowska, one of the foundation’s "Empowered Entrepreneurs" who was recently selected by the National Association of Female Entrepreneurs (NAFE) as the first international recipient of their Rising Star Award.

Maja (27), who is based in Warsaw, Poland, was partnered through the Foundation with a team of female executives from IBM. They helped her in developing and implementing the business strategies and practices needed to over-come her business challenges. She has been running MPack for three years and now employs 60 local workers. Her company has national and international clients and is directed by a sales and production team consisting of 12 women.

Maja will travel to New York City to receive the Rising Star Award at the Women of Excellence Awards Ceremony sponsored by NAFE on December 4th.
